I liked the semi villain twist near the end, but other than that I have to admit I didn't find the actors particularly engaging so as the film progressed and they KEPT bringing up the dad over and over it was getting harder to enjoy. But I'd still overall rate the film as fine. Probably wouldn't watch it again except as a nod to the stomchasers whose real footage they used, though. See more David C @RT23097889 06/06/2025 The score, the cinematography, the overall production design just rips Spielberg and John Williams films, like Jaws, Indiana Jones, E.T., Close Encounters - down to the shot. It's actually pretty cool, almost like how AI is today - just making an alternative Spielberg universe..but then you realize it's not quite pulling it off. I'll just say on a positive note, they do pull of the atmosphere of Spielberg magic ( along with some of the cheesy effects and stuff). Where it's lacking is in it's writing and directing. Scenes are often rushed and awkward. Direction reminds me of that time I went to film school. See more Read all reviews
