When John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) was a little boy, he made a wish that Ted (Seth MacFarlane), his beloved teddy bear, would come alive. Thirty years later, foul-mouthed Ted is still John's constant companion, much to the chagrin of Lori (Mila Kunis), John's girlfriend. Though Lori's displeasure is exacerbated by the pair's constant consumption of beer and weed, she's not the one who's most disappointed with John; it may take the intervention of John's boyhood toy to help him grow up at last.

Ted's "romance versus bromance" plot is familiar, but the film's held aloft by the high-concept central premise and a very funny (albeit inconsistent) script.

The greatest compliment I can pay Seth MacFarlane's Ted is that although this is essentially one of those slacker, stoner comedies, and such comedies aren't really my thing... this did make me laugh quite a bit.

With Family Guy-style jokes and references to Springfield, the humor, based on current topics such as homosexuality, sex, and other vices... permeates all elements of the film, from comedy to romance, suspense, action and comedy. [Full review in Spanish]

Childhood innocence… completely ruined—in the most entertaining way possible. Ted takes a ridiculous idea and runs with it like it has nothing to lose—and that’s exactly why it works. A talking teddy bear sounds cute. Until it opens its mouth. Seth MacFarlane doesn’t hold back, turning Ted into one of the most unapologetically wild characters in comedy. Paired with Mark Wahlberg, the chemistry feels natural, chaotic, and completely unfiltered. The humor is crude, offensive, and definitely not for everyone—but if it lands for you, it really lands. Beneath all the madness, there’s actually a simple story about growing up… just told in the most irresponsible way possible. Final Verdict: Not classy. Not clean. Just brutally funny. Cinema wins. Mediocrity loses.

This movie was really funny and heartfelt, but the last quarter was terrible. They also screwed up the "alien" reference. Ash was from the original alien, not aliens! Still, Ted is so cute and funny
