The premise of sisters fighting to survive underwater screamed potential for raw, mature tension, but they axed the murdered dog scene and all the heart, leaving a hollow shell. Lou Llobell’s Drew and Sophie Gråbøl’s May push through, but the script’s lazy pacing and shallow bonds turn it into immature fluff that underestimates viewers. Malta’s caves add some claustrophobia, yet the film wastes its sci-fi survival edge on predictable scares and no thought-provoking depth. See more Andrew V @RT40182893 10/09/2024 Really excellent survival, diving movie. There are some truly intense scenes and it shows the dangers of diving in a unique way. If you liked the Abyss or Underwater, you will very much enjoy this movie. I can see why its not for everyone, but fans of survival films and/or underwater films will like this. One small critique I have is I think it relies a bit too much on knowing some of the terms and issues with diving. This movie is not a great way to learn about diving. But if you do know some of the basics it is really intense. If you've seen the above mentioned movies, you probably know enough. See more Read all reviews
