Mercenary leader Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) and the rest of the Expendables team reunite when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) hires them for a seemingly easy job. But things go terribly wrong, compelling the mercenaries to seek revenge for a comrade's murder. With the odds against them, Barney and his team are hell-bent on payback and cut a path of destruction through opposing forces, only to encounter an unexpected threat: six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium.

I won’t ruin the Chuck Norris “fact” used in the film, but it provides one of the few genuine laughs, and it’s certainly better than the forced wisecracks from Stallone, Willis, and Schwarzenegger.

The Expendables 2 is a little better than the first movie and feels more confident with what it wants to be. It leans fully into the over-the-top action style and delivers a fun experience without trying too hard to be serious. The cast chemistry is one of the biggest strengths. Seeing so many action legends together is entertaining, and the movie knows how to use that nostalgia well. The action scenes are bigger, faster, and more enjoyable this time around. At the same time, the story is still pretty simple and predictable. The dialogue can be cheesy, and some moments feel more focused on fan service than actual depth. Still, the movie works because it embraces its ridiculous action-movie energy. Overall, The Expendables 2 is a solid sequel that improves on the original in several ways. It may not be amazing cinema, but it is definitely a fun action movie that delivers what fans expect. I give it a 7/10.

its all you need from an expendables movie just dumb fun action this film is special for me as it features a fight between my mothers favourite actor (jason Statham) and my favourite actor (scott adkins)

No plot whatsoever. Many of the roles make no sense. Half a star is for Jason Statham. Not recommended!

Equally as good as the first! You cannot say that about sequels too often. I’ve seen a lot of people where they feel this one’s actually a little better than the first one. Another out of the park home run for The Expendables franchise.
