Tomhas I @Tomhas 1 day ago Really nicely crafted. Willem Dafoe also amazing!!! See more Ashequl I @Tofa13 Oct 5, 2026 The Florida Project has to be one of the most beautiful movies I have ever watched. The movie’s premise is about a girl named Moonee and how the world revolves around her. The pure beauty of childhood is showcased here, along with some harsh truths. That contrast is sad and is a crucial part of the movie. Willem Dafoe gives his best performance. Sean Baker just nailed his direction in this film. Absolute masterclass. I love how he showcases everything in such a pure and raw way that you can feel it naturally. It feels like you are watching a real girl just enjoying her summer vacation. Loved it. See more Oliwia C @RT53847693 Sep 19, 2026 we watched this at a sleepover with my friend, we were told there had a sad ending, needless to say we laughed our asses off, this movie gen didnt have any plot, overall 5 stars not worth watching unless you wanna laugh bobby is our fav character, if you disagree you didn't watch it See more Jack F @MovieFan111 Sep 7, 2026 Ok, so I get the whole "representing underrepresented populations" thing, but who wants to see that? Just like in City of God. It's all just downright depressing. Why do you want to watch a film about people struggling in poverty. That's like eating your least favorite vegetable for no good reason except that it might be healthy for you. Was it all good filmmaking? Yeah. It's Mr. Sean Baker the wunderkind. I thought it was weird for these kids in the movie to do all that vile stuff yet be to happy and bubbly about it. It just felt out of place, but not unrealistic. I didn't really like it. But it's worth a watch. See more Anastasia B @RT98272434 Aug 17, 2026 From the actors (big & small), cinematography, those tiny moments of childhood, to the realistic depictions of adulthood... this movie checked all my boxes that I anticipated and hoped for, with a production like this. Some may find the pace a bit jolting, but if you've ever had a lived experience that has exposed you to this world, you know that life doesn't always move at the pace you would prefer. What I really took away from this film was having a childlike POV in a world where, despite parents doing their best with what they've got, I still maintained most of my innocence until the very last moment where reality set in and things got real. From a privileged POV, this statement may be confounding and one may be absolutely pissed at the obvious neglect taking place. That's fair. But I think the film does a great job of painting a picture that is not so black and white, where maybe you could have a snapshot that may give you more empathy and/or outrage to the *many* factors at play. See more K G @KatyG-S Jul 31, 2026 It would be good at worst. "The Florida Project" is the sight of originality & an execution of a movie. To see people apparently living nearby a Disneyland, which is located in Florida. They also have a cheap aesthetic. I imply that this can be a good representation of families unfortunately enough to live in those apartments. You may tell they have messed up lives & feel curious of what caused them. In example, our main girl, Moonee living with her mother, who can stressed & sweary & Moonee did the same as well - now we could normalise road rage in front of children. Do you think my parents were that bad? This does give the same vibe of Nani & Lilo. What was also dramatic was Jancey, the friend who Moonee becomes friends with & does seem heartfelt when Moonee did not want Jancey to go & she takes her to Disneyland, which makes things better. Family things could bring anybody together, doing something special. The best way to watch it is sit through the whole thing. See more Read all reviews
