What to Know

Critics Consensus

While it deserved stronger direction and a more fully realized script, Michael Shannon's riveting performance in the title role is more than enough to make The Iceman recommended viewing.

See more Steven F. @SteveGotScored Feb 22, 2026 Definitely a brutal true crime thriller! See more Steve B @RT03063078 Jan 13, 2026 Great acting by Shannon and pretty much everyone else, and a riveting plot. I don't mind historical inaccuracies, which are major. However, the mob doing a warning hit on his daughter makes zero sense. That made me feel the movie was nothing close to a true story and, boy, was I right. It make for good entertainment, though.
