RichardAB T @PoorDearRichard 6d Someone out there wanted to waste my time, and they succeeded with enthusiasm. Dan Stevens and Jeremy Allen White were great in this — almost suspiciously great, considering what they were trapped inside. The film held a clean 3.5 all the way through: solid story, real suspense, plenty of questions keeping me hooked. Then the ending strutted in, looked at everything that was working, and vaporized it on contact. It didn’t stumble — it nuked the whole experience. Dropped straight to a 2, and that’s me being charitable. Can someone pass me the writer’s email? I need to send a "nasty Karen email" about how efficiently he wasted my time. They find recording equipment. They think its the caretaker and confront him, he is accidently killed. They have to try and cover up his death. The real killer who planted the recording info in the Airbnb chases the final survive off the cliff. Movie ends as he moves on to new airbnb.
