Even the seasons are off in this movie, with snow falling in the wrong months: evidence of a climate in crisis or simply one of Almodóvar’s whims? Whatever the answer, it looks damn good. No wonder Martha and Ingrid want to stick around.

Its a beautiful movie to look at, but the acting felt like workshop theater rehearsals and never rang true. I gave two stars for 1) the design and styling and 2) there were a few scenes that were thought-provoking.

Funny moments, heartfelt story acted out superbly. A little slow in the beginning, but then blossomed into a relatable storyline. Loved it. The dialog was insane! Can't imagine the effort these brilliant actors put into their craft.
