James R @AZJimmy Apr 26, 2026 Outstanding documentary about a true DJ icon. Great trip down memory lane for someone of my vintage that grew up with 50's, 60's and 70's AM rock on the dial. Full of precious clips of rock legends. A true gem ... many years in the making. I've now seen it 4 times and absolutely love it, as does my wife Kally. And the stunts he used to pull on air...priceless! He was THE VOICE of rock radio when radio was king. This documentary captures not only the spirit of the times but the personality of the man and why he made a difference. There were so many twists and turns in his career it's a wonder he made it. But as this documentary makes clear, he survived and thrived because of his love for music and the musicians and the connections he made with his audience. It's a well done and fun and informative film to watch if you'd like to be transported back in time to experience the fun and antics...and disappointments...of Chiago's rock jock. ENJOY!!! I listened to him on WLS-AM in Chicago in the early 60s, and it not only brought back a lot of fond memories but also told me a few things I didn’t know about Dick. If you know him - or of him - don’t miss seeing it. I watched it on Amazon Prime. See more Read all reviews
