On rewatching it I am afraid that this didn’t age well. Most of the situations and characters are cartoonish. McDormand drills a hole in the dentist’s thumb and walks away after rinsing and spitting and there are no consequences. Apparently Ebbing has billboards but no lawyers, who they usually advertise on them. Rockwell is an old school racist, who just modified his vocabulary. And so forth. A total waste of time. Tolerated thirty minutes.
