A century before the events of "Game of Thrones," two unlikely heroes wander Westeros. In an adaption of George R. R. Martin's novella "The Hedge Knight," a young and naive but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg, face a series of dangerous exploits. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and images of the last dragon have not yet passed from living memory, great destinies and powerful foes await these improbable and incomparable friends.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a welcome return to Westeros that works better in the buddy-comedy arena rather than solely slaying its competition.

Audience Says

Way more dopey than GoT, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms offers a refreshing, low stakes return to Westeros anchored by the endearing duo of Egg and Dunk.

By creating a more humane world in a landscape that feels increasingly unmanageable, a story that insists on small acts of goodness is almost radical. Go to Full Review

If you love and miss this seven-kingdomed world, Dunk and Egg make excellent companions for the return. Go to Full Review

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a refreshing reset, leaning into the traditions of chivalric tales, as if these characters had walked out of King Arthur’s world. Go to Full Review

A welcome switch-up in HBO's Game of Thrones lineup, and proof that the world of Westeros can be more than just a brutal cage match between warring families. Go to Full Review

Scrappy, light-hearted glimpse into the medieval fantasy world of Westeros... Go to Full Review

As with Game of Thrones too, I can never quite suppress the heretical thought that, underneath the surface swagger, it essentially consists of the purest corn. Go to Full Review

Darth J. @Darth_Jar_Jar 2h It is ask fresh to finally have nonwoke regular food quality back! The show is fantastic. Dunk is a simple, good hearted man who finds himself elevated because he stood for what is right. See more Kolby G @good_or_noe 5h Westeros returns to its roots with a masterclass in prestige character drama. By trading world-ending CGI for the intimate, high-stakes journey of Dunk and Egg, the series captures the soul of George R.R. Martin’s writing. The casting is flawless, with Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell delivering deeply human performances that anchor every scene. When the steel finally clashes, the action is visceral and terrifyingly real, proving that gritty, grounded storytelling is what made Game of Thrones a legend in the first place. See more Seth H @ScrewGameofthrones 7h If you love having sex with your own family and really bad story telling youll love this show. Its honestly trash. Ive taken better dumps then this. See more Valisa A @Aristo 17h BRILLIANT!!!! The acting , effects , armors , casting etc. are near perfect and loving. This show did what HoTD s2 and GoT later seasons could'nt with big budgets and dragons. All in all this show must get renewed every time. See more Faysal R. @faysalrabby96 20h It's good but not as a level of GOT See more Sadie R. @SadieBCs 23h Absolutely loved it! From the premiere to sitting at home waiting for an episode to drop it's truly a work of art. The best side character storyline we needed to see! See more Read all reviews
