Critics Consensus

It's pleasing to the eye, but Saawariya struggles to fill its runtime with a story whose clichés unfortunately outnumber its points of interest.

Mukerji’s brief but stellar role as a sex worker – there’s so much to take away from the film. Not only does it feel brilliant to be in this audaciously fascinating fantasia of the old-school love, but it's rendered and charmingly lived-in soul is just the thought good we want to be served. The movie released way ahead of its time and just memerizes me now. I loved it and I think you will too if you take another perspective. See more Ahmed M @neverOddorEven Jun 5, 2016 Just boring, not entertaining or at the least fun. Other than all of that, which could've been in the movie, you get a two hour movie made on a set, which doesn't help at all and just ruins the movie further. See more Read all reviews
