A magical board game unleashes a world of adventure on siblings Peter and Judy Shepherd. While exploring an old mansion, the youngsters find a curious, jungle-themed game called Jumanji in the attic. When they start playing, they free Alan Parrish, who's been stuck in the game's inner world for decades. If they win Jumanji, the kids can free Alan for good, but that means braving giant bugs, ill-mannered monkeys and even stampeding rhinos!

This is an entertainment in the broad Hollywood tradition of Capra and Spielberg, with a boisterous touch of Peter Pan in that the stern father figure and the scary villain are both played by the same actor.

Jumanji (1995) I know this is the first film in the franchise and all, but it's quite boring and full of strange CGI. To sum it up, it's a complete mess.

Good movie with a unique premise. Although, to be fair, a lot of movies involve games interacting with people, take Pixels or A Minecraft Movie, but those are a lot newer.
