The premise is simple and effective on paper: a man kidnaps a woman and confines her to a ten by ten room, demanding answers to a hidden past. That setup should create suffocating tension. Instead, the film feels oddly stagnant. Despite its brief runtime, the pacing drags. Scenes stretch longer than they need to, and just when the story hints at escalation, it retreats into repetitive dialogue. The confined space could have amplified suspense, turning every glance and pause into a weapon. Instead, much of the film relies on back and forth exchanges that lack urgency. Luke Evans gives a steady performance, bringing intensity to a character that needed sharper writing. The direction feels restrained to a fault, never fully exploiting the psychological chess match at the center.
