The subject matter is timely and relevant, but the attention to action over sincerity dulls the potency of the themes - as any shoot-'em-up Schwarzenegger movie should. Go to Full Review Rob Nelson City Pages, Minneapolis/St. Paul Aug 21, 2009
Straining every muscle not to offend, Collateral Damage counts basic coherence among its own casualties. But it's crystal clear on one point: Taking mercy on the "enemy," women and children included, is for wimps. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Robert P @Superbad Oct 6, 2026 Collateral Damage is a horrible movie! See more Mario N @RT08093726 Sep 7, 2026 Horrible, with an anti-Hispanic bias. Propaganda to justify Plan Colombia See more Christian C. @Colewv95 Apr 29, 2026 Great movie and great action ! See more Blake- N @PBSAniDom Apr 13, 2026 Collateral Damage is easily my least favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger film. Despite having a potentially interesting premise, the movie falls flat due to its slow pacing, weak script, and lack of engaging action. Arnold has delivered many memorable roles, but here he feels underutilized and stuck in a story that never fully comes together. The emotional core doesn’t hit as intended, and the film struggles to build any real tension or excitement. The action scenes are surprisingly dull compared to what you’d expect, and the overall execution feels forgettable. It lacks the energy and charisma that usually make his films enjoyable. Overall, it’s a disappointing and uninspired action movie that fails to leave any impact. I’d rate it a 1/10. See more David S. @baxter667 Dec 17, 2025 Not as terrible as you would think. Yes, it's a formulaic film, but it's still pretty good!! It does have elements of the time it was made, but it's also a decent film with a decent story and one of the last really great films that Arnold did. I enjoyed it, and it's still a great action film!!! See more Cork B @RT87142816 Nov 29, 2025 Last gasp of Arnold's 80s Action movies, and it isn't good. Eyerollingly thin plot with horrible twists. Add to that, Arnold tries to do a more nuanced conflicted role, and when the role calls for a 0.7, Arnold's face kinda contorts before he spits out the inevitable 0 or 1. Arnold was meant to be a brick to smash things, and those are his best roles. This should have had a different lead cast. And John Leguizamo was wasted here. Literally as well :) It wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen - better than just about any Scott Adkins flick, but still a very poor outing for Arnold. See more Read all reviews
