That could have been interesting. However the direction on this movie is appaling and hilarious at the same time. As his cried over his dead wife and daughter while being turned, the dead daughter can be seen blinking and holding back a laugh. Although the acting was just as equally dreadful, we had a good chuckle out of it and so we provided an extra star! See more 08/14/2012 I'm a huge vampire genre lover and this is one of my favorites. When this first came out it wasn't like any other vampire movie out there which really set it apart for me. The dark and moody cinematography added to the drama and set the overall tone for the film nicely as did the odd mix of the high and low tech in the society . The storyline was a completely different take on the vampire genre and how they came to be and this was something else I really enjoyed. The terrified and broken humanity given to the vampire community struck a cord with me and Adrian Paul played that exceptionally well. This film has always felt to me like a graphic novel come to the screen in the best of all ways. See more Read all reviews
