Jack P @filmthrill172 Aug 17, 2026 An Enemy Within was a really enjoyable surprise. It starts with a wedding night and quickly turns into something much darker, with secrets coming out, loyalties shifting and pretty much nobody feeling completely trustworthy. For a small indie thriller, it does a lot with its budget. The cast are strong, there's some great tension and dark humour, and the twists kept me guessing without feeling completely over the top. I also liked that underneath the thriller elements there's a story about greed, resentment and what people are capable of when things start falling apart. A smart, entertaining little thriller that kept me hooked until the end. Definitely worth a watch. Set largely in one location, it creates a pressure-cooker atmosphere as a wedding night turns into a nightmare and family secrets begin to surface. The cast really commit, with a nice streak of dark humour underneath the tension. As things unfold, the story becomes as much about greed and resentment as the initial threat, with some genuinely good twists along the way. For a low-budget indie, it's ambitious, entertaining and surprisingly polished. It has a few rough edges, but that's part of its charm. Definitely worth a watch if you enjoy contained British thrillers where nobody can really be trusted. See more Ferenc C @fffeco May 17, 2026 1990 tv quality.rubbish See more Read all reviews
