Apollo 17 was the last U.S.-sponsored lunar voyage -- or was it? Hours of found footage, classified for decades, point to a subsequent moon mission -- Apollo 18 -- that ended very badly. Astronauts John Grey (Ryan Robbins), Nathan Walker (Lloyd Owen) and Benjamin Anderson (Warren Christie), on a mission to install radar scanners, discover a Soviet space capsule nearby. The men also discover a dead cosmonaut, and unfortunately for them, learn how he died.

A boring, suspense-free Paranormal Activity rip-off that feels long even at just 90 minutes.

Apollo 18 is an intriguing, if never enthralling, fusion of period space-flight procedural, conspiracy theory, and monster movie.

Watching people land on the moon isn't all that interesting or photogenic, especially when we know it's pretend.

Strong characters and rewarding narratives are rarely developed in “found footage” movies, so when the shocks and gross-out moments occur, the audience can’t be blamed for feeling uninvolved.

I found “Apollo 18” to be a fun little movie that uses and incorporates the found footage style in a slick and fresh fashion. It does have some issues but it also has some great moments wrapped into its tight 88 minute running time.

Super nostalgic for me as this was one of the first PG-13 movies I snuck into underage! This movie really shines with making it feel like a found footage film from the 70s. It is a pretty interesting premise that just never seems to fully get into second gear. The costumes, the set and even the effects look pretty good, but no acting really stands out in this. I wish it was a little scarier, and the jump scares really didn’t do much for me. This is a perfect film for somebody’s first “horror film” as it builds a lot of suspense and could frighten some people. It does a pretty good job using real world examples, and pushing the based on a true story type of film. Overall, I’m glad I rewatch it and it was a pretty fun flick!

As these go, not bad at all. Especially impressive are the recreations of the NASA footage look of the early 1970's and the lunar lander (including the Soviet LK) and the landing site. So a fun ride for any fans of the space program. The scriptwirting and acting is equally competent, and doesnt spoil the illusion of the events taking place over 50 years ago. Problems arise only because of improbabilites like there being this amount of first person footage around, as well as several angles of surveillance type footage from inside the lunar lander. SPOILER ALERT: The real astronauts would probably not have reacted so panic stricken, regardless any developments on the moon.

Not my favorite. Semmed like a knockoff “alien” but on vhs, the only reason in my opinion that it’s 2 stars is I was curious to see how it ended up.

Brilliantly based, scary, keeps you on the edge of your seat for the entire time. I don't understand why the reviews are so bad on average. This is an excellently done horror film.
