Hannah (Hadley Robinson), a young fashion designer, seems fine on the surface, but secretly struggles with debilitating self-doubt. Soon these buried feelings begin to make Hannah physically sick and sprout into a ferocious growth on her body: The Appendage. As Hannah’s health declines, The Appendage begins to fuel her anxieties -- her perceived lack of talent at work, her deteriorating relationships with her boyfriend and best friend, and her parents' lack of love and understanding. At her breaking point, Hannah makes a shocking discovery--there are others out there like her.

Appendage is first and foremost a lot of fun, and Zlokovic clearly delights in employing older horror movies as a palette through which she can tell her own story of the nightmare many women face as they struggle to live up to impossible expectations

This felt confusing right off the bat, maybe the whole idea was to keep us questioning what we are about to encounter. I do enjoy the relationships our main character has with her counterparts, being her man and her bestie. Then the madness begins, and it's a doozy of a delusion right out of the 80s b Horror footlocker. Hs the earmarks of the film "Malignant" the absorbed twin syndrome, but still unsure of where we're going with this one in its first 30 minutes of play. So the madness is genetic, not what I was expecting or You'll be expecting. I hope you all watch this crazy beast of a film. You won't believe its brilliance in its simplicity and the way it unfolds will make you smile deviously I hope.

mmmm idk. it's not the worst thing I've ever watched, but it wasn't great. i think if it had embraced the 'horror comedy' genre it could've been better, but it felt like it was trying too hard to be serious & that's just not what it ended up being. the concept isn't a bad concept though.

Appendage is a very solid and creepy horror movie. With a great cast led by Hadley Robinson and Emily Hampshire, there are plenty of confronting and chilling moments in this film. Some would say this is derivative of other movies (Rabid is one that comes to mind), but it really is a fine movie which stands on its own. The film is a slightly letdown by some dodgy creature effects, but aside from that, plenty here for horror buffs to enjoy.
