I think some people don't "get" psychological horror.. anyway, I highly recommend it. It's a postmodern horror, trying to take advantage of the shift towards slow-burn pacing to trick you into thinking that meandering = scary. Muddy rules to the universe, slim character development, and a lack of scares make this feature a relatively timid horror flick overall; there's not much in the heat of the moment to make your hair stand on end, nor in the implications of the film's demonic presence (think the wide-ranging implications left at the ending of Rosemary's Baby, there's nothing comparable here). It has some scares, good acting and a serviceable plot. It's not the most unique story but imo the plot is executed very well. And between scares there's still a tense vibe that's eerie.
