Chris Evans is wise to pick a script that deals with a small cast that takes place over the course of a single night for his directorial debut. Evans and Eve have a pretty sweet chemistry and the tentative romance between them feels earnest.

Before We Go is mediocre at best and ultimately a forgettable film. Still, it's also somehow decently entertaining despite its shortcomings and occasionally drawn-out melodrama. A film best seen from the comfort of your own home.

This is the film for every person that still feels hurt, or isn’t where they want to be, or needs the welcomed distraction of a bittersweet reverie. This was not the rom-com I thought it would be, and that’s meant in the best way possible. I was shocked that it was directed by Evans because of its unique story and presentation.
