Doug T @Doug246 Mar 17, 2026 OMG ! It took 48 years to come up with a more boring and nonsensical pile of c#%p than 2001: a space odyssey. I almost gave up in the first 15 minutes. But the train wreck kept getting worse! Someone owes me 2 hours back ! See more steve m @RT20851694 Oct 23, 2025 The best thing about this movie is I didn't pay anything for it. It was free on TUBI. I like sci-fi. Even some of the weird and some of the stuff from the '50s and '60s. This movie had so much potential; it just did not live up to it. $5 million budget to make and did not earn half that gross. Casper van Diem must have needed a paycheck. A good premise. The flashbacks were extremely confusing. I figured out the other two astronauts in the background but thought the overall movie could have been done much better. I think the electric eels in the aquarium actually provided electricity somehow to make the spaceship work? I didn't understand at the end how the bundle of electrical wiring could be pulled down in such a mess and with a snip of one wire, the spaceship is destroyed after it breaks through the "wall" at the edge of the universe. Therefore, the renaming of the movie from ISSRA 88 to the Edge. See more Jeffrey P @vanillavoodoo1 Aug 23, 2022 Slow burner exploring the effects of deep space travel on the mind... or not. Doesn't make the most sense and isn't the easiest movie to pay attention to. Not much of a pay-off in the end. See more Nov 28, 2021 It made no sense. I think it was supposed to be profound, but it nothing made sense. And then it just… ended. See more Jun 22, 2020 Trying to be an artistic movie. Absolute failure. Do not bother watching. See more Feb 26, 2019 A little difficult to follow. The beginning of the movie the soldier dies and is sent out into space. The rest of the movie may or may not have been flashbacks. Dont even know what the end was all about. See more Read all reviews
