Critics Consensus

Truth or Dare's slick presentation isn't enough to make this mediocre horror outing much more frightening than an average round of the real-life game.

They die in fairly routine accidents that make you long for the slapstick ingenuity of the Final Destination franchise, still a high-water mark in teen-elimination films.

There are some sloppy rules and failed emotional beats, but if you're a genre fan watching Truth or Dare for the clever concept and inventive kill scenes, there's some fun to be had with this Blumhouse release.

It does not represent great entertainment, but it is enjoyable more often than it is not. As such it comes with my very modest recommendation.

The big problem of the film is its lack of corrosive mood or the slightest destabilizing element. [Full Review in Spanish]

Truth or Dare is a supernatural horror/thriller about a group of teen friends who find that the game they played while on break has followed them home and trapped them into playing with fatal stakes. Watch it if you've already seen everything else.

An unintentional hilarious movie. This scraps every bottom of the barrel Blumhouse and 2010s horror movie cliches in an film with; an terrible script, awful acting and silly effects

Honestly, I think these reviews are kind of harsh. Was it a fantastic movie? No. Was it Citizen Kane? No. Was some of it executed poorly? Yes. We're the characters annoying? Yes. But it's PG-13 how much can they get away with? It was entertaining enough to keep me watching to the end. And I kind of like what they did with the end. Definitely could have been better, definitely had some issues, but also not deserving of the level of hate it's getting. I would go onto it with an open mind and watch it just for the hell of it. Form your own opinion.

This another in a long line of quasi horror that starts off ok and then just loses all momentum and becomes a waste of time. It is WAY too long, needs 40 minutes cut out. Feels like 2 poorly joined movies I dont quite understand it. Skip it
