A shoestring house-of-horrors exercise that just sort of, well, exists, with no real purpose or artistic vision driving it forward.

"Body" may not be the kind of modern-day B-movie that wins awards, but it does exactly what it sets out to, and that's a fair amount. So go ahead: see this film for yourself. You won't know what hit you.

It's one of those films where its blatant attempts at being egregious wind up making it heinous for all the wrong reasons.

Despite the low-budget and the plotline blips, directors and writers Dan Berk and Robert Olsen were able to stay economical in the film's style, giving us a clean-looking production with their smart use of locations and minimalist sets.

Although Body takes a unique approach to a familiar suspense story and feature a promising up-and-coming lead, its rushed climax leaves a sense of watching an unfinished product.

Pretty good. There was a lot of set-up, but the actors were excellent. Once the main part of the story got going, it never quite developed its core idea to the extreme, but the result was still an entertaining film, even if the ending left a little to be desired.

The three characters should represent Freud's model of the id, ego, and superego: not very convincing and even less compelling, but at least it still dared to use the figures of the dark ladies without conforming to the current #metoo hype. (Mauro Lanari)

I'm quite happy this was a short movie. It's pretty rank in some ways. These girls are worse than Heathers deep down.
