Robert P @Superbad Sep 7, 2026 Too much graphic sex makes this a *2* star movie! See more Teddy B @RT90521672 Sep 3, 2026 The hilarity and weak erotic appeal quickly wears off after the third or fourth decapitation or castration---then it just becomes dull. 'Caligula' is by no means the absolute depth of human depravity---it's just boring, and a little weird, but mainly boring. Raw and with no filters a truly masterpiece. See more Rafi แก้ว M @RT61647557 Dec 4, 2025 Jodorowsky, Pasolini, Fellini, Fassbinder, Ken Russell and Stanley Kubrick all blended together with an occasional spritz of graphic sex - I think this movie is under-rated simply because it's a little too kinky in places. Excessive sets, a la the Taylor-Burton Cleopatra, cameos by some really great actors, lots of gossamer, a hint of a plot, and endless clouds of incense make this a delightful screensaver, and an essential item in any true collector's treasure chest. The remake is basically a vanilla version, with no significant additions, and a few missing 'wow' moments that really reduce the quality. Malcolm McDowell is such a madman. See more Jean P @FudgeOff Sep 17, 2025 Amusing, bizarre, grotesque, inimitable and hugely entertaining. This film not only stamp marks an era of Italian erotica but delivers a unique and effective interpretation of Caligula's bizarre, twisted and deeply flawed rule. See more Read all reviews
