While traveling to California to race The King and Chick Hicks in the Piston Cup Championship, Lightning McQueen falls out of his trailer and winds up in a run-down town called Radiator Springs. He slowly befriends the town's odd residents, including Sally, Doc Hudson and Mater. When it comes time for him to leave, the championship is no longer his top priority.

One of the greatest films I’ve ever seen—not just for an animated movie, not just for a family movie, but for any movie. It’s beautifully made, full of heart, and reminds you of what really matters. By the time the credits roll, you’ll feel lighter, happier, and maybe even see the world a little differently. Few movies leave that kind of impact.

The first movie I watched that I can remember. Whether it’s the plot or the way McQueen goes back to help The King finish his last race, even though he had a huge ego in the beginning and would’ve never done that had he not met his friends in Radiator Springs, it shows that life isn’t always about winning, but rather about helping others. Like Doc said, “It’s just an empty cup.” I highly recommend watching this if you have kids. It teaches a life lesson they can carry with them as they go through life.
