Its scope is too limited for it to muster much of a response in us beyond basic titillation. And there are plenty of better places to go for that.

Most of the camera time goes to airy, awkward sex (no genitalia, though plenty of breasts and backsides), and while it's never titillating, it's also never involving.

A smutty display of wall-to-wall couplings (and triplings) with a patina of class as thin as a see-through negligee.

A highly schematic film about how the members of a family each revel in their own sexuality; there's a nice, healthy glow here apparently meant to substitute for story.

Such a provocative title for such an aimless and boring movie.

I like the characters just not the movie itself

There's a bit sex, quite a lot of talking, looking wistful, or miserable, or both, but not a lot actually happens. http://gtvlondon.blogspot.com.au/2014/01/movie-review-sexual-chronicles-of.html

At the end, all I could think was "so what." Well acted, but characters weren't interesting. Lotsa sex in the NR version, not funny as some described. My thx to Pam for burning it for me.

I understand that many French films differ from American ones, and I'm not usually a fan though I have enjoyed several. This one... just felt like an excuse to watch people having sex. Too much sex and not enough story. It just wasn't very interesting, and if you cut out all the sex scenes, you'd probably be left with a short film.

For a title and a plot so rife with ideas (both good and bad) -- this is a surprisingly dull and un-cinematic experience. Skip this one.
