Bad Jackie Chan movie. It's not his style of fighting. He tries to do an anime adaptation but there's nothing for him to do. Go to Full Review

ฐณยศ โ @Thanayod 2d While purists might argue that Jackie Chan’s City Hunter (1993) strayed far from the gritty noir elements of Tsukasa Hojo’s original manga, looking at it through the lens of 90s Hong Kong cinema reveals a masterpiece of high-octane absurdity. The film succeeds not by being a faithful adaptation, but by leaning into the chaotic energy of the era. It’s a brilliant fusion of Jackie Chan’s signature stunt-work and director Wong Jing’s unapologetic slapstick humor. The chemistry between Chan’s goofy Ryo Saeba and Joey Wong’s charismatic, hammer-wielding Kaori creates a dynamic that is both hilarious and surprisingly heart-warming. What truly stands out is the unmistakable 90s mood and tone. From the vibrant colors to the iconic Street Fighter parody, the movie exudes a sense of carefree joy. It’s a "comfort watch" in the truest sense—this film is an absolute blast.
