Penelope Y @RT31899006 Oct 13, 2025 This film offers an intimate glimpse into the legendary Clive Davis, not just the industry giant we all know but the man behind the music. It beautifully captures his sensitivity, intelligence, and extraordinary instinct for discovering talent. It’s inspiring to see the genuine relationships he’s built, not only with the artists who love and respect him but also with his family. A true must-watch for any music lover, especially those familiar with Clive’s incredible legacy and his work with icons like Whitney Houston, Bruce Springsteen, and The Notorious B.I.G. What an extraordinary career, and what a film to celebrate it! And actually, we do get to know him quite well, his drive, his passion, his unparalleled vision, and his uncompromising commitment to musical artistry. I was floored. It gave me an in-depth look at the genius mind of Clive Davis, his life, his creative process, and how he started the careers of so many stars. He is the heart and soul of music! I highly recommend this purchase. -Washington Flowers See more Oct 23, 2017 The Soundtrack of Our Lives is amazing on the big screen. It is beautifully done, well-paced and edited, informative, entertaining, and unexpectedly candid. Back in the day, I wasn't aware that Mr. Davis was the force behind some of my favorite stars--Aretha Franklin, Blood Sweat & Tears, Sly & the Family Stone, Earth Wind & Fire, Whitney Houston, and Luther Vandross. Now, I have a bigger story to accompany the music I still love; and, it makes me want to learn even more. Just call me a life-long finger-snapper!
