Lorenz L @Lorenz1060 Aug 21, 2024 "Geef mee dat kopra chuwl"! You have to see this to believe it, and definitely see it with friends. See more Sep 7, 2020 The genre of the island picture has a quality all its own that I typically do not appreciate. But this a fun movie and is good for the camp value. Maria Montez may not have been able to act, but she was good in this. Much better than her male leads and Sabu. Fun for a good laugh at ‘scriptanite' plot (seems this island kills strangers...unless you are laying Italian marble in the palace or bringing the designer duds). Her evil twin sister got there first and now she's ruling! It's up to them (and Sabu (and yes, a chimp)) to thwart her! Plenty of ridiculousness going on. The score is sumptuous, the dancing ridiculous - Indiana Jones would have been very different without this kind of movie.
