Damaged isn’t trying to be a meme, it’s playing things completely straight... That sincerity, and the apparent genuine commitment of top-tier performers like Jackson, is what makes this ripely absurd film at least half-worth watching.

How on earth did they persuade SLJ and VC to appear in this nonsense? I think I could have made a better film and I’ve never done anything in the film industry. Waste of talent.

It should have been a really good movie looking at the story and the cast but at some point, quite early on, it descended into some kind of comedic spoof, but not a very good one. Some of the acting was absolutely dire. It needs remaking, it could be a really good film.
