Its hunger for spectacle comes with its caveats and diminishing returns, and in the case of Deliver Us, the beginning probably should have been the end. Go to Full Review

Deliver Us seemingly has all the momentum to become a truly enrapturing religious horror film...And yet, by the end of the film’s runtime, you walk away shaking your head with confusion rather than shaking in terror. Go to Full Review

An exciting start gives way to a slow middle section, before an urgent finale brings the film to a close. The results are ambitious, if not for everyone. Go to Full Review

But for the gore and the nudity, DELIVER US is a film that might engender a lively discussion in a theology class. Go to Full Review

Hugo S @Hugo_Shudder 4 days ago A team of priests is dispatched by the Vatican to investigate the mysterious case of a Russian nun who becomes pregnant with twins. The divine event appears to fulfil an ancient prophecy foretelling the simultaneous birth of two biblical figures — the Messiah and the Antichrist. As the clerical investigation progresses, the Church's true intentions reveal a sinister agenda that threatens the lives of the newborns. "Deliver Us" is a religious horror film with striking imagery and provocative storytelling, using an apocalyptic theme to question Catholicism's traditions and beliefs. Despite an interesting premise and distinctive noir visuals, the narrative tests the viewer's patience with its sluggish pace. Unfortunately, the final act fails to offer a satisfying climax that compensates the audience for the long wait. See more Eric B @nyingpo Aug 15, 2026 Way to boof the ending. Actually, I haven't seen a movie boof the ending this hard since Signs. Really good film: compelling characters, interesting story, a lot of tension... then the ending goes for mystical bs. Too bad. See more Michael M @mimo. May 31, 2025 I really appreciated the story and the symbolism here. They took some chances with this and I think it paid off. I do think calling this 'horror' is a bit of a stretch and might be a reason for some of the negative reviews. It was more of a thriller than anything else and very distinct from the sort of horror you usually see in religious themed movies. This movie requires some thought and the true horror it reveals comes from within humanity itself, our insecurities, and grappling with our morals. It is Genesis told through the lens of Revelations. Worth the watch. See more Craig B @Boundsy Mar 28, 2025 Deliver Us was quite a solid 'end of days' horror / thriller. Solid performances from the cast, reasonably well-paced story and plenty of intrigue to keep you watching to the end. Sure, it's got a few holes, but there have been plenty worse religious apocalyptic movies released in the past. See more Kayla D @RT31006792 Sep 22, 2024 An absolute waste of time with more holes than plot. Watch the nun instead See more Jeffrey P @vanillavoodoo1 Aug 26, 2024 There is no point to this as the main plot point is less of a factor than two crying babies. Lord, deliver us... from more movies like this. See more Read all reviews
