James Damer Dawson’s enjoyable film encourages accord rather than division: both men, it becomes clear, care passionately about the future of the land. Go to Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Oct 2, 2026

The strength of the film lies not just in the personalities of its leads, but in the rich detail observed throughout. Go to Full Review Romey Norton DMovies Sep 25, 2026

Funny, occasionally chaotic and surprisingly moving, Derek vs Derek proves that you don’t need a narrator in a serious suit in order to make an important documentary. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Darling D @RT17193486 1 day ago What I liked about it was the down to earth view of THE FARMER v THE REWILDER. It's a beautifully made documentary and both characters really shine. The message for me is - two ways of working with the land can exist. Co-exist. It provoked a feeling of wanting to attend the lectures over at the farm about rewilding AND God farming is hard. I came out of the cinema which by the way is an extraordinary place in Totnes, so beautifully set, I came out thinking there are always different ways to look at everything, different viewpoints, it made me fall in love with soil. I loved the farmer's wife, she really came across so naturally with great empathy. This is an important film and one well worth watching. There has been a great film attendance, absolutely packed out even at the lunchtime viewing. See more Read all reviews
