Marco L @decatur555 10h Desire is an appalling erotic thriller with no eroticism, no suspense and no believable characters. Ludwika Paleta, José María Yazpik and Óscar Casas struggle with a screenplay built on terrible dialogue, absurd decisions and increasingly ridiculous twists. The supposed chemistry never exists, the sex scenes are lifeless and the final act becomes almost unintentionally comic. Every character is unpleasant, every relationship feels artificial and the polished images resemble an overlong perfume commercial rather than a real film. It wants to explore desire, guilt, jealousy and power, but has nothing meaningful to say about any of them. A vulgar, boring and embarrassing production that should never have moved beyond the script. See more Ravza @rottendoll444 3d I feel like this movie failed to be a ''thriller''. I would rather just say, well, erotic. They focused completely on the aestetics that the plot lacked quality. I was like ''what is going on'' the whole time watching it. I think that that movie was produced by some kinky people rather than storyteller scriptwriters. I can summarize that 100 minutes under 100 words and you know what? The sex scenes showed no emotions or excitement especially when it comes to cheating. No ripping off clothes nothing. A lack of nudity and no suspense is what sucked the life out of this movie. It focuses on a wealthy lawyer embarking on a risky affair with a younger swimming coach, proving that a chaotic forbidden love triangle can quickly fall apart when the story relies entirely on recycled cliches, unlikable characters, and forced situational conflict. Ludwika Paleta is solid as Lucero, delivering a committed performance with a sharp screen presence that tries hard to ground the chaos. She captures the unpolished obsession and growing paranoia of her character with genuine charm. While the sleek visual style and polished production design give the film a visually grounded appearance, the jarring pacing and weak character motivation make it a chore to sit through. It stands as a weak one time watch that fails to deliver a satisfying narrative payoff.
