Busey offers a steely turn that helps the feature reach its potential as bottom shelf escapism with noticeable hustle and plenty of angry encounters.

...yes, Survivor's Eye of the Tiger can be heard on the soundtrack - a whopping and wholly unnecessary three times...

Rather enjoyed it. Just love those '80's "Good bad guy against the bad good guys and bad bad guys" flicks. Revenge and vengeance, oh yeah. Boots to a$$es. The writing is nothing new and the story is also familiar. But what works here is Gary Busey and William Smith (who was, IMO, one of the most interesting persons ever), rest of cast also convincing in character. Good cinematography for the time. Enough action, emotion, intrigue, suspense and drama. Not refined as we are used to now, but just an honest to goodness old movie

It's forgettable exploitation action. I wish I could speak more on it, but really, I barely remember it...

Definitely wait for it to show on cable/tv - and definitely watch for ten minutes as a guide as to how NOT to make a believable compelling or well choreographed film.
