Critics Consensus

Fist Fight boasts a surplus of comedic muscle but flails lazily, and far too few of its jokes land with enough force to register.

Here is a film that continually squanders its cast and your time.

Screenwriters Van Robichaux, Evan Susser, and Max Greenfield raise the satirical ante with a nicely jaundiced view of the school, which is underfunded, riven by office politics, and teetering on the brink of anarchy.

With its bullying mob mentality and inexplicable character motivation, this is film-making for people who watch YouTube clips of happy-slapping for kicks.

Why did anyone waste even 2 seconds on any part of this..the casting, crew, dialog, advertising... anything? Just pick random words alternated with "fuck" then have people punch each other, and presto! You movie is written! Terrible, don't bother.

Should have the option to rate this at Zero stars. How does this script get green-lit? It required two “executives” to agree ‘yes, this is a brilliant script. Let’s authorize a few million dollars to make this movie.’ Stunning.

It's amazing and if your feeling down watch this movie it will make you feel better it obviously isn't on the same level as Titanic indiana Jones or citizen kane but I definitely recommend it. Laughed the entire time
