In this sequel to the Disney classic, fox Tod (Jonah Bobo) and hound dog Copper (Harrison Fahn) have their friendship tested once again. When the dog Dixie (Reba McEntire) quits the canine band the Singin' Strays, the group's leader, Cash (Patrick Swayze), invites Copper to take her place. Excited by the prospect of Grand Ole Opry glory, Copper neglects his relationship with Tod, then discovers that show business is a dog-eat-dog world when it's revealed he is not, in fact, a stray at all.

This is my favorite Fox and the Hound movie because it’s very nostalgic from my childhood. I love when they go to the carnival and my favorite part has always been when they ride the carousel. ❤️🩷💜💙

Se já não sou grande fã do original, lançar esta sequela diretamente para DVD só para extorquir dinheiro e inventar uma história qualquer é simplesmente horrível. O enredo quebra toda a lógica ao meter os protagonistas na infância a cantar num grupo de música country — um completo absurdo sem qualquer propósito. No entanto, há que admitir que a animação está visualmente mais limpa e ligeiramente superior a muitas das piores sequelas baratas feitas para DVD pela Disney. Ainda assim, é uma produção descartável e totalmente desnecessária.
