Critics Consensus

A muddled, filler-grade mess, Gasoline Alley wastes its capable cast on a story that lacks the proper narrative fuel it desperately needs.

Sawa is very good here, as is his lone good guy vigilante story. Similar to Drive with Ryan Gosling? No, but Sawa is still pretty cool. And that’s worth a watch. Go to Full Review Douglas Davidson Elements of Madness Jul 12, 2022

Bee C @RT93242226 Aug 2, 2026 Why was Bruce Willis even in the movie? He had one or two word lines. It's such a shame to see the once great Bruce reduced to this. Aside from him, the movie was a complete bore. See more mysparo23 T @RT03577665 Jul 28, 2026 Poorly written. Poorly directed. Poorly lit. Poorly acted and especially poorly produced. The producers should not be allowed to make another movie, ever again. It’s absolute garbage. See more Frans B @FransB May 29, 2026 Wooden writing and very shallow directing. Could have been such a nice movie, but alas ... Very capable actors totally ridiculed by the technicalities. They try their utmost to do good by the little bit they're given, to their credit. Excluding Bruce Willis, Devon Sawa and Luke Wilson really as convincing as possible in their roles, lots of talent between those two. A bit of forced action, some melodrama, very little suspense and the rest is watered down B Grade material. It was difficult sitting through the whole movie See more John S @SecRep May 26, 2026 Not one of my favorite Bruce Willis movies but it was an entertaining. Definitely not one to watch over again.
