Maxwell continues his textbook emphasis on military maneuvers, but despite literally thousands of Civil War reenactors recruited for the film, the wide-screen canvas fails to map the tactics or evoke the terror of battle.

A boring overwrought Southern Civil War/Confederacy/insurrectionist/racist/slavery apologist film. A piece of pro-slavery propagandic trash that promotes that tired 'Lost Cause' Klansman ideological crap that sadly still pervades in some Americans' attitudes even today in the 21st century. It's so long it has an intermission where you're better off just existing the theater or simply stop watching. This pile of garbage is for the Nazi Youth, Young Klansmen, neo-Confederates who choose not to progress to modern times, and MAGA cultists only. There are other descriptions and adjectives I could use to describe this film but they're probably too obscene to print here. Stay light-years away from this hokey crap. Get an education instead.

It’s very long and boring, in fact the film could’ve been trimmed down by over an hour. But the comments by online, righteous, moral crusaders about the film are far worse.

Characters, lighting, wardrobes come across like old tacky squeaky clean soap operas. B grade extras with some looking like they had just come from a Beverly Hills shopping spree. Made it through about 20 minutes & realized why put myself thru this.
