Critics Consensus

Every bit the proselytizing lecture promised by its title, God's Not Dead 2 preaches ham-fistedly to its paranoid conservative choir.

Shot in holy high-definition, with lots of histrionic crane shots that swoop down like angels from on high and a score that batters the audience into observance, this is a film that will work best when preaching to the converted.

While the first God's Not Dead fed the persecution complex of evangelical Christians, God's Not Dead 2 takes that complex to Golden Corral.

A movie that exposes the truth about what it sometimes takes to stand for what you believe in, in a world that pretends to be tolerant to all but truly is tolerant to all except Christianity. It's heartfelt and thought provoking. Some may not like it because it doesn't fit their God hating narrative. Some will scuff because they'd rather believe there is no God. But God is real, alive and well...whether you like it or not. And one day we will all have to answer to this God for our own lives. There are 2 choices: accept Christ or reject Christ. His Word says: if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We have all sinned, we all need a Savior 🙏🏽

Same message, same cliché. This saga can be summed up as follows: quick consumption and immediate oblivion.

I thought the courtroom scene was alright. Glad to see movies glorifying our lord and savior are still being made!
