Jack S @RT58840043 Oct 15, 2024 This bright and stylishly made romantic comedy is diverting but also a bit stagy. But ultimately, the story is simply not really plausible for the viewing audience to accept: that a woman (Kerr) living in a majestic English country home and who’s married to the charming Cary Grant, would suddenly run off with some abrupt and presumptuous American visitor (a miscast Mitchum)! Mitchum is one of my all time favorites. Love his bedroom eyes & deep sexy voice. See more steve d @RT35616104 Jul 20, 2020 Not Grant's best but it is still a blast. The film's tone didn't help in its inconsistency, varying between drama and screwball comedy. They open the doors to tourists, and each becomes involved romantically (she with Mitchum, he with Simmons). If you can believe that any woman would leave Cary Grant, you'll enjoy this. Only the stagey atmosphere works against it. See more Read all reviews
