Critics Consensus

Grease 2 is undeniably stocked with solid songs and well-choreographed dance sequences, but there's no getting around the fact that it's a blatant retread of its far more entertaining predecessor.

A sequel rivalled only by Ecorcist II for testing the agony threshold of the audience. Go to Full Review Joe Pollack St. Louis Post-Dispatch Apr 8, 2026
It isn't really in bad taste, but it certainly isn't the best of taste. Go to Full Review Desmond Ryan Philadelphia Inquirer Apr 8, 2026
Grease 2 is admittedly a fantasy, but what a low dream it offers. Go to Full Review Morley Walker Winnipeg Sun Apr 8, 2026

brigitte w Aug 21, 2022 The music is awesome and the costumes are bananas good. Two of the most gorgeous humans on the planet and lots of laughs. This movie is so underrated. See more Diaulas F @RT13630323 Oct 3, 2026 Apesar de uma história mais fraca, uma trilha sonora não tão boa, esse filme se tornou cult para mim. Michelle Pfeiffer consegue encantar em suas cenas See more Shawn R @satiable Sep 23, 2026 This movie made me fall in love with Michelle Pfeiffer, but that's about it. Oh and the song "Reproduction" was totally hilarious! The words along with the choreography.. gut splitting! I do find it absurd that Stephanie doesn't recognize who it is under the goggles! And doesn't even ask him to remove them so she can SEE who she's kissing! See more Robert P @Superbad Sep 17, 2026 Nowhere near as Good as Grease... See more Michael L @toejam2020 Aug 30, 2026 The music is good-well not all of it,but the acting is atrocious-the writing is equally bad-and the movie itself is downright bad See more Leah A @RT38549505 Aug 6, 2026 In my opinion the film was not really good See more Read all reviews
