A scruffy superhero named Hancock (Will Smith) protects the citizens of Los Angeles but leaves horrendous collateral damage in the wake of every well-intentioned feat. That's OK with Hancock; he doesn't care what people think and is just as likely to be found dozing on a park bench as saving a damsel in distress. However, after saving the life of a PR executive (Jason Bateman) and meeting the man's beautiful wife (Charlize Theron), he realizes that he may have a sensitive side after all.

Brendan K. @Bkeller25 Feb 11 Fun movie. There's an infamous tonal shift at about the 1 hour mark, but I am a fan of the darker tone and the 'second storyline' overall. I just wish there was better cohesion as it happens pretty abruptly. It has a distinct 'funny' phase then a 'serious' phase, and it should have been more intertwined. The film should've been 20-30 min longer for what it was trying to accomplish. There are plenty of great ideas here, but some of them needed more time in the oven.
