After a hive-minded alien race called the Boov conquer the Earth, they relocate the planet's human population -- all except for a little girl named Tip (Rihanna), who's managed to hide from the aliens. When Tip meets a fugitive Boov called Oh (Jim Parsons), there's mutual distrust. However, Oh is not like his comrades; he craves friendship and fun. As their distrust fades, the pair set out together to find Tip's mother, but, unbeknown to them, the Gorg -- enemies of the Boov -- are en route.

When Tip and Oh realize how wrong they've been about so many things, they begin moving toward real maturity and growth. That's something viewers of all ages can appreciate.

I haven’t watched this movie since it first came out, I don’t remember any of it and i definitely don’t remember it being so emotional. I honestly almost cried a few times. It was so sweet and the ending made me so happy, I felt bad for O the whole movie :(

It’s very charming but that only carries the film so far. Felt like there was way too many Rihanna songs throughout the film. Felt like a big commercial for her really. They were throwing way too many things at the board for creativity sake for this one. I like the family message of the film. I also like Parsons voice with here.

I absolutely LOVED this movie, as did both of my daughters (age 4 & 12)! The story is sentimental enough for adults but also cute enough for kids to love and understand! We've watched this probably 20 times already. Definitely a classic! Highly recommend!!
