Alain E @AlainE 2d Well done overall real crime drama with very nice color cinematography. Wisely, the story completely avoids what the officers are doing outside their working hours. The female DCI has a wedding band and the picture of an adolescent girl on her desk. That’s all we learn. Another female officer is dumped by her boyfriend because she spends too much time at work. Done. Many people in the west are sympathetic to the Kurds and this story about the brutal treatment of their women may change the attitudes. The movie ends with the trial, but with the closing credits we learn that the remarkable Chief Investigator, played very well by Keeley Hawes, went to Iraq and succeeded after two years to convince Saddam Hussein to extradite to UK two of the criminals who had escaped there. She was decorated by the Queen. See more Flixster F 04/29/2024 Rated for the 2 part series. See more scott h 03/26/2023 Was a great movie, with a sensitive topic that needs to be shown more.
