See more Frank C @FrankC705 Jul 24, 2026 A well thought out journey with wolves, horses, bison, sheep, cattle and bison as co-travelers through U.S. history. An interesting perspective -helped me understand the current issues at hand in the Modern American West. See more Aaron F @RT42896750 Jul 3, 2026 Susan Kucera's In The Company of Wolves: An American Journey explores American history through our evolving relationship with wolves. Directed, edited, photographed, and produced by Kucera, and narrated by Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges, the documentary traces colonial expansion, Indigenous displacement, and the destruction of wolves and bison while examining how those choices continue to shape conservation today. Historians, scientists, Indigenous leaders, and ranchers provide thoughtful perspectives on coexistence, challenging long-held myths about wolves and the American frontier. Beautiful cinematography and a well-paced structure balance historical context with modern wildlife management, showing that conservation and sustainable ranching can work together. Thoughtful and visually striking, the film reminds us that every family with a dog carries a living connection to the wolf, a small piece of the wild that continues to shape America's story.
