The disparate tones don't always gel, but it's easy for a film to bail itself out with three terrific fight scenes ... and then one of the greatest ever choreographed and conveyed. Go to Full Review Chance Solem-Pfeifer Willamette Week Jan 22, 2025
Part of the vaudevillian fun of the Drunken Master movies is that Chan’s Wong Fei-hung—here cast as a defender of Chinese artifacts against British smugglers—is nearly Popeye-esque. Go to Full Review Joshua Polanski Boston Hassle Jul 16, 2024

David N @Nolan305 Jul 19, 2026 The fight and action scenes are off the chart. The pacing is insane and thrilling. Another of Jackie Chand finest films. See more Geoff G @GGinFla Jul 9, 2026 Great fights, and as usual Jackie does some amazing stunt, this time with hot coals. I just sat there in awe at what Jackie does. Decent enough story makes for a strong film. See more Chao long Y @533533 May 13, See more M B @Timbero Aug 14, 2025 Classic period martial arts movie, decent production values, great casting, brilliant fight scenes and very funny comedy. Must watch in original language with english subtitles.
