VITALII H @freakynickison Jan 10 I finally got used to Kate Winslet speaking with American accent, she was great in this movie. I appreciated the way the story was told, honestly it felt like reading a book especially with the narration which was a nice touch and had its charm. I don’t really know what was with the sound… sometimes it felt like the mic man was way too far from the action scene, I know for a fact that no mics were on the actors, it would’ve sounded differently. The ending was a bit underwhelming, I liked the way it ended but sometimes I wished the camera stayed focused on the actors a bit longer throughout the whole movie. Which leads me to believe that the production could’ve been better, but overall it was worth a one time watch. See more Mon B @RT64928109 Jun 22 Too dumb to finish. I can review the first 15 minutes though. Very awkward and unrealistic. For some reason, a strange voiceover narrator that made it sound more like the twilight zone. Actors sat unnaturally together on a bench talking to each other shoulder to shoulder. I was not even mildly interested in finishing this movie once two absolute strangers with children kissed each other in the park. What?? I shut it off. Desperate housewife has an affair with a desperate stay at home dad. And in between the sad story of a sex offender who lives in the neighborhood. The narrator throughout the movie was supposed to bring this terrible thing together? I don't think so. I skipped it for so many years but I decided to give it a try. Bad idea. Waste of time overall. See more Mason M @RT73597940 12/22/2024 Little Children is a brilliant tale and does justice to it's original novel. Given that this film was written by Tom Perrotta (who wrote the novel), it perfectly captures the spirit and what I liked about the book onto the screen. This also stands as an amazing stand alone film, with great performances and probably some of the most brilliant cinematography I've ever seen. The one letdown of the adaptation was the exclusion of Slutty Kay's storyline. See more Ku U @RT51340999 06/30/2024 Not at all worth the time. I felt like a wasted my time. Although the actors/actresses did a great job in the movie the purpose of the movie is not well clarified. Is it about children, is it about a devoured sex life of married couples or is it about sexual abuse? Jackie was great with the character but honestly that was cruel to even watch. One scene made my eyes bleed. Maybe the story outlines problems that could;ve been faced by couples with children I guess but I cant see the point clearly. The movie didnt start that great so I didnt have much expectations anyway. But thought it at least could end well. See more Read all reviews
