Although Jason (William Ragsdale) works as a department store clerk, he is also a reincarnated prince. Long ago, his beloved Jessie (Kristy Swanson) was snatched away from him by an evil wizard (Terry Kiser) who used his powers to transform her into wooden statue. Now Jessie is in Jason's department store as a mannequin. When he encounters her, she awakens from her thousand-year sleep. They quickly revive their romance, but the evil wizard has been reincarnated as well, and he's up to no good.

Unfortunately, the recycled plot is still the driving force here, and the movie becomes increasingly frantic trying to accommodate it. In the end, Raffill can't bring this dummy to life, but he does try.

The first MANNEQUIN film was so great that it demanded a sequel, right? I'd never watched this film before and was taken aback by how unfunny it was. Kristy Swanson (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, DEADLY FRIEND) is cute as the mannequin (even with some ridiculously big hair), and William Ragsdale (FRIGHT NIGHT, HERMAN'S HEAD) is affable as the mannequin's love interest, but it's all super dumb. Terry "WEEKEND AT BERNIES" Kiser also appears in the film, as does Meshach Taylor (DESIGNING WOMEN) as the only returning character, Montrose., but I can't think of any reason to recommend this movie outside of late 80s and early 90s nostalgia. The film does end by playing the Starship theme from the first film, which I did listen to for a few days afterward, so that's gotta be worth at least one star.

I watched it a couple of times and thought it was a cute movie. If you go into it without any expectations then you might enjoy it. Meshach Taylor's performance was a highlight to the film.
