Angela de Marco (Michelle Pfeiffer) is fed up with her gangster husband's (Alec Baldwin) line of work and wants no part of the crime world. When her husband is killed for having an affair with the mistress of mob boss Tony "The Tiger" Russo (Dean Stockwell), Angela and her son depart for New York City to make a fresh start. Unfortunately, Tony has set his sights upon Angela -- and so has an undercover FBI agent (Matthew Modine) looking to use her to bust Tony.

Very well directed by Jonathan Demme. Intelligently written and beautifully brought to screen. Whole stellar cast excels in character, Michelle Pfeiffer and Mercedes Ruehl especially 😜 Funny, witty, fast moving with lots of action, dilemma, drama, confusion, flair, twists, suspense and emotion. Great cinematography and visually stunning. All time classic

Pfeiffer's fab but Mercedes rules. At times we all need a little help from our friends or from friendly cops. Enjoyable comedy that rates well within its own universe. It's not Goodfellas or The Godfather or even Mikey and Nicky, but it's funny. Very funny.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

It was a silly R rated 80s comedy. It has its moments, but I don't plan to see it again. I saw it since it was on the NYT 1000 movies list. SLC DVD.
